Community Workshops Sessions

The Network holds workshops and sessions regularly throughout the year, to inform and educate our Community about mental health and suicide awareness issues with the assistance of specialist providers in these areas. Together with Lifeline we held Accidental Counsellor Together, learning simple communication skills to support people in distress. More recently together with Relationships Australia we held a workshop on what a “Connected and Respectful Tasmania” means to you. Keep an eye on our Events Calendar and Facebook page for future courses/workshops. If there is anything in particular you need just get in touch with us and discuss it.

Together with Lifeline we held Accidental Counsellor Together, learning simple communication skills to support people in distress. As a result a number of other opportunities were discussed by the participants, leading the Network to consider further sessions covering topics such as Domestic Violence and Grief & Loss.

More recently together with Relationships Australia we held a workshop on what a “Connected and Respectful Tasmania” means to you. RA is celebrating 75 years in 2025, and is in process of holding 75 community consultations around Tasmania. As a result of this session RA produced a Report, which is available for download here. It is very interesting reading.
